The Camelia Botnar Foundation provides residential training and work experience, helping young people to learn a skilled trade, embark on a useful career path and successfully make their own way in life. The Foundation aims to train and educate those under the age of 21 who are in need due to circumstances outside of their control.
The various departments the trainees can choose from are Ironwork, Cabinet making and Joinery, Catering, Estate and Grounds Maintenance, Garden Centre and Horticulture, Pottery, Light Building Work and Painting and Decorating.
The Pottery Department have been producing high quality, handmade domestic wares since setting up in 1998. Their earthenware range, stocked by The Ceramics Boutique, is decorated with vibrant bird and leaf designs, which prove popular with all ages.
